Team Lead - Project Management

As a large global hotel search, it’s essential that every element of trivago’s core product is of world-class quality. We utilize a large external workforce in order to ensure that trivago provides the best user experience possible. Our team is searching for an experienced team lead to manage a team of project managers who own a wide variety of projects that have a direct and measurable impact globally across our platform.

What you'll do:

  • Be accountable for recruiting, developing, retaining and ensuring the proper training of a diverse team that currently consists of five project managers (and growing).
  • Empower teams to be autonomous and take full responsibility for their projects.
  • Ensure the exchange of experience and “lessons learned” between projects.
  • Scale our output by defining and managing automation and tooling upgrades.

What you'll definitely need:

  • 3-5 years' previous project management experience. You must have a proven track record of managing complex projects from start to finish.
  • Superior organizational skills and a proven ability to keep projects moving forward.
  • A strong commercial sense which leads you to take decisions based on business value for the company.
  • A strong sense of leadership and great people skills. You will be leading your team from the front and will be responsible for their progress.
  • Fluency in English (our company language).

What we'd love you to have:

  • A certification in PMP, Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Exposure to product development.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Economics Business, IT or a related field.
